Your journey commences in Darwin with a two-night stay, where you can relax and enjoy the sunset as your overlook the harbor.

Travel by scenic flight to Kakadu National Park for spectacular views as well as to save time by eliminating lengthy road travel. Kakadu is dual listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List for its outstanding natural and cultural values. No trip to the Northern Territory is complete without a visit to this iconic National Park. Enjoy 1.5hours of spectacular scenic flying, cruise on the Yellow Water billabong, visit the Warradjan Cultural Centre before returning to Darwin late evening.

Board The Ghan and settle into the comforts of your cabin or mingle with fellow guests in the Outback Explorer Lounge. Enjoy lunch ahead of the stop in Katherine, where you will join an Off Train Excursion to the incredible Nitmiluk Gorge. Reboard the train and continue south to Alice Springs where a day of fascinating Off Train Experiences await. After a day of fun-filled adventure, you will be transferred to your hotel for a two-night stay.

Your five-night guided tour adventure commences with a brief afternoon tour of Alice Springs including Anzac Hill and hear why makes this unique outback town tick before dinner.

Depart Alice Springs, traveling on the Mereenie Loop through the Western MacDonnell Ranges, stopping to visit Standley Chasm and Ormiston Gorge enroute to Kings Canyon for a 2-night stay.

Experience the wonders of the majestic canyon with your choice of a rim walk or the less arduous walk along the canyon floor. After returning to the resort in the afternoon, there is the opportunity to take a 15-minute helicopter flight over Kings Canyon (additional cost).

Depart Kings Canyon, traveling through Kings Creek Station and stopping for lunch at Curtin Springs before arriving in Uluru. This evening, join the unique Sounds of Silence dining experience under the stars. Enjoy canapes and sparkling wine while listening to the sound of the didgeridoo. The resident star talker will decode the southern night sky while you enjoy a premium bush-tucker inspired meal.

Early risers will experience the sun rising over Uluru and the colors of dawn spreading across the landscape followed by breakfast. Travel to Kata Tjuta and admire the stunning rock formations on a guided walk into Walpa Gorge. Learn about traditional Anangu culture on a guided tour around the base of Uluru before joining an evening at Bruce Munro’s Field of Light.

Return to Alice Springs for an overnight stay, relaxing on a scenic drive through the Outback, admiring Mount Connor enroute, known as the third desert giant.

After breakfast, there is plenty of free time to explore Alice Springs at your leisure before rejoining The Ghan Expedition, which starts with a mouth-watering meal under the chandelier of stars at the Alice Springs Telegraph Station before reboarding the train.

A morning stop at Manguri offers a visit to the weird and wonderful Coober Pedy, where half of the residents live underground. Enjoy a day of discovery and lunch in the most unique of locations: underground, before reboarding the train for dinner.

As the train continues south, you will see a dramatic change in landscape as the rich ochre tones of the outback make way for the green fields of South Australia to Adelaide, where you will disembark as the journey becomes to an end.

Your three-night stay in Adelaide includes a full-day tour to Kangaroo Island and a private Barossa Valley experience.

Depart Adelaide early on a coach journey to Cape Jervis taking in the picturesque Fleurieu Peninsula with its vineyards, coastal views and rolling hills. On arrival, board the SeaLink Kangaroo Island ferry for the 45-minute crossing to Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island. Meet your local guide for an introduction to Kangaroo Island. Tour through several island habitats and see wildlife in their natural environments. Kangaroo Island is a haven for Australian wildlife, which exists in its natural habitat without the threat of introduced predators. At the spectacular Seal Bay Conservation Park, your guide will escort you on a memorable walk along the beach. This bay is home to a healthy Australian sea lion colony, and you can walk among the sea lions as they bask on the beach or among the sand dunes after their extensive fishing expedition. Enter the exclusive Heritage-listed natural bush property to enjoy a delicious gourmet picnic style lunch with Kangaroo Island wine, followed by a pleasant bushwalk or a stroll along the beach. Travel through the island’s interior keeping an eye out for koalas and echidnas, explore spectacular beaches and enjoy a bushwalk. Later in the afternoon, as the day draws to a close, see the kangaroos leave the safety of the bush to begin grazing on open pastures before boarding the ferry for your return journey back to Adelaide.

Your Adelaide stay concludes with a private tour of the Barossa Valley, a short 1-hour drive from the city. At Yalumba winery, take a guided behind the scenes tour of the historic estate followed by a privately hosted masterclass of their flagship range. Lunch is a chef's selection tasting menu at a popular Barossa restaurant, with wine. After lunch head to Seppeltsfield for a tour of their Centenary Cellar including a Taste Your Birth Year experience direct from the barrel. Final tasting of the day is at Penfold's winery, before returning to Adelaide.
